Job Title: Benefits Outreach and Take Up Caseworker
Salary: Scale 5 (22) – Scale 6 (26) £19,621 - £22,221 per annum pro rata
Hours: 30 hours per week
Length of contract: 12 months with further opportunity for extension.
Responsible to: Specialist Caseworker
Purpose of job:
To deliver a comprehensive benefit take-up campaign and benefit outreach service across the borough of Darlington. Working within the community and in partnership with local groups and organisations to deliver benefit advice.To
Candidates must have a minimum of one year’s experience of dealing with welfare benefits casework. An ability to manage casework and follow set procedures to ensure a client’s case is followed through from inception to conclusion.
