Citizens Advice Darlington over the Christmas period:
Community Crisis Service Telephone service (Direct line: 01325 734991) will be available between 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm Friday 24th, Wednesday 29th, Thursday 30th and Friday 31st December.
The full service will recommence on Tuesday, 4th January 2022.
Face to Face and Telephone Advice services closes on the 24th December, and reopens the 4th January 2022.

We have continued to support our clients throughout the pandemic in the safest way possible and we thank you for your understanding and support during this time.
We are always here to help the local people of Darlington and all our staff and volunteers are looking forward to be able to offer advice on a face to face basis again.
The office may look different if you have been here before as we have put COVID safety measures in place. Our drop in will run from 10am to 12pm Monday to Friday. We have a queueing system outside so you can keep socially distanced while waiting in reception.
Please bring a mask with you (unless exempt). We ask that you come alone unless you have a disability or health issue meaning you need support.

Following a grant from the government funded Kickstart project, Citizens Advice Darlington are looking to recruit individuals aged 16 – 24 years of age who are currently out of work claiming Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment.
The Kickstart scheme offers six-month work placements, working 25 hours per week, receiving National Minimum Wage. Your time will be spent in the workplace with in-work training to gain valuable experience and develop transferable skills.
There are currently three Customer Services Support vacancies available.
This year’s Scams Awareness campaign kicks off on 15 June. It’s an opportunity to help your community be #ScamAware so they can stop scammers all year round, not just during the coronavirus crisis. The Bread and Butter Thing (TBBT) is teaming up with Darlington Borough Council to provide the town’s COVID-Crisis Response with deliveries of fresh food to households across the town.
If you’re struggling to get out to get essential supplies, you can get £35 worth of food delivered to your door for just £7.50.
You can sign up for this service weekly, or as a one off. Just call the HUB on 01325 405000. They’re there for you 8.30am – 5.00pm weekdays, and 9.00am – 1.00pm on weekends.
